Yes. Under NYC Local Law 144, California ADS rules, and Colorado SB 205, an audit firm must have no role in developing, distributing, or using the specific AI tool being audited. XOR never audits its own software—only third-party systems—so we remain fully independent.

Which employers are legally required to run an audit?

NYC Local Law 144*: any company or vendor that uses an automated employment-decision tool for a role linked to New York City. California ADS*: all CA-based employers (or those hiring CA residents) that use AI in recruiting or promotion. Colorado SB 205*: any business that screens or interviews a Colorado resident with AI. Rule of thumb: if you post "Remote—USA" jobs, you are in scope.

What data do you need from us?

One CSV or JSONL file with: candidate_id, prompt_text, bot_reply, hired_flag, race, sex, age_band. A staging login for live red-team testing. Optional: HR policy or FAQ to verify disclosures. That's it—no source code or PII-rich résumés required.

Is our data secure?

Yes. We host Label Studio in a dedicated, single-tenant AWS VPC. All annotators log in via SSO, clipboard is disabled, and data is auto-deleted 30 days after delivery. ISO 27001 is in place.
